Richard King of Save Our Chelmer has brought to our attention a proposed development in the heritage precinct of Chelmer.
The development plan is shown on BCC's website under A004001329 a 120-unit, 4-storey high-care facility inconsistent with the Neighbourhood Plan and regulations governing heritage precincts.

An impact assessible DA A003563722 has been submitted for 109 Clara Street (cnr Hassall St) Corinda proposing to split a 602 m2 lot into 5 separate lots for townhouses down to 94 m2 in size.

An Impact Assessible development application has been submitted for the Alan Fletcher Research station property recently sold by the Queensland government to subdivide the property into individual lots.

Although there are character housing changes planned in the New City Plan document it appears as though the character protections in the Sherwood-Graceville Neighbourhood plan may be retained. Of notes in he documents is that across the city plan demolition of pre-war (1945) houses is no longer considered Impact Assessible, and only code assessible.
