We have hamper supplies available at the school hall for community members. If you have a neighbour or friend who could do with some help or have been affected yourself, please let me know, through the site or through the Oxley State school.
We are a group concerned with protecting the streetscapes and promoting residential amenity in the South Western suburbs of Brisbane.
The last house in Tennyson Ward is now flood free but in need of a bit of TLC. If you have a gurney, mop, bucket or broom please come along to 24 Egmont St in Sherwood (cnr Hall Ave) to help with the clean up. The owner Leigh is a tireless volunteer in our area at the Sherwood Neighbourhood Centre and on the Sherwood Street Festival Committee. His home has been underwater for a week and as I write the rain is teeming down again here in Sherwood now.
