Flood Recovery BBQ Breakfast

Submitted by Nicole Johnston on Thu, 20/01/2011 - 6:16am

Hi everyone,
The last house in Tennyson Ward is now flood free but in need of a bit of TLC. If you have a gurney, mop, bucket or broom please come along to 24 Egmont St in Sherwood (cnr Hall Ave) to help with the clean up. The owner Leigh is a tireless volunteer in our area at the Sherwood Neighbourhood Centre and on the Sherwood Street Festival Committee. His home has been underwater for a week and as I write the rain is teeming down again here in Sherwood now.

Still trying to get the word out to those in need. We have a lot of volunteer Washing Angels, so thank you very much to all who have registered.
If anyone is out and about and would like to let others know about our service please email me at e.churchward@hotmail.com and I will forward through some flyers and posters ...to you. Take care, Elissa
