Community Questions released

Submitted by webmaster on Sat, 07/04/2012 - 10:29am

The Walter Taylor South Action Group committee has reviewed the community questions submitted and consolidated these questions for all candidates to answer in writing prior to our community meeting.

The committee needed to balance the number of questions with topics covered to allow time for questions at the end of the community meeting from the floor.  Some specific questions have been incorporated into more general questions that all candidates should be capable of answering.

Flyer Distribution - East Sherwood & East Chelmer

Submitted by webmaster on Fri, 06/04/2012 - 9:39am

Hello,

We had a good response from volunteers to distribute our Community Meeting with Council Candidates to cover most areas or Corinda, Sherwood, Graceville and Chelmer.

We still have a need for additional volunteers to cover Sherwood East of the Railway line, and Chelmer East of the Railway line.  All leaflets have been printed and folded, so it's just the delivery to letterboxes that is needed.

Volunteers for leaflet drop

Submitted by webmaster on Mon, 26/03/2012 - 10:34pm

Hello everyone,

We are looking for volunteers to assist with a leaflet drop in the week following Easter.  These leaflets are to advertise the public meeting for the Q&A session with local council candidates on Tuesday 17th April.

If you have children who might be looking for something to do in the 2nd week of the school holidays, or just want to get out and about, walk the neighbourhood and meet your neighbours then drop an email to webmaster@wtsag.org.au if you are able to assist.

Thank you,

What do you want to ask council candidates

Submitted by webmaster on Wed, 29/02/2012 - 12:03pm

Hello everyone,

What questions would you like to ask of all local council candidates to help you decide on who to vote for in the upcoming Brisbane City Council election.

WTSAG are looking to forward questions to all candidates, gather written responses and publish them on our website.  We would then follow up with a public meeting where responses can be clarified by the candidates themselves.

Please find details on our website on how to participate.
